Cunda Krueng charm in Lhokseumawe

Krueng Cunda is the flow of sea that separates the mainland Lhokseumawe with mainland Sumatra. Its name comes from the language of Aceh "Krueng" means river and "Cunda" is the name of a river flowing through this region. Cunda Krueng actually a strait, not a river. 

Krueng Cunda was used as a salt water fish farming by local people, because in addition to the water is clean enough also no big waves or ripples which can damage fish cages or shelters belonging to the average population is made of wood and bamboo.
