Hellas is a country where the natural beauty and the beauty of
antiques coexist harmoniously with the strange and inexplicable that
hidden in remote and inaccessible places where anything can happen, for
example in the caves that lie deep within the bosom of the Earth ...
Hellas, the rocky edge of the Balkan peninsula, is full of caves,
some small and others large, some others terrestrial and others
maritime, others accessible and others inaccessible to the researchers.
And many of these caves are connected in folk tradition with ancient
Hellenic myths, Byzantine Creeds or mysteries of modern history.
From these caves, much associated with strange phenomena which until

1 The cave of Penteli Mountain:
The cave of Penteli is perhaps the best known of the caves of Hellas

the city of Athens. The cave had been known since the ancient times,
since the ancient Athenians searched Mount Penteli for the world famous
Pentelic marble. This cave has been in ancient times the sanctuary of

The caves that are located in Taygetos are another example of strange caves.
In ancient times it was believed that there resided the lower deity Taygeti while archaeological investigations have found in votives that dating to the Mycenaean era. The rich mythological background in conjunction with both the pyramidal shape of the mountain, and the mysterious disappearance of Professor Liantina inside to one of them, led to a lot of things to be said for the area, and that as there are gateways that lead to other worlds or other dimensions ...
