To some a cow is just another kind of a farm animal but to Indians the cow is called Gomatha (Mother Cow). It is the symbol of purity and virtue. The milk, urine, cow dung are all sacred. To begin your day seeing a cow is considered auspicious omen.
The milk we get from the cow is rightfully called Amrutha (Nectar), it is so special for its good properties to drink and it is most widely used ingredient for medicine and food supplements. Milk products like curd, butter, ghee and cheese are part of our daily food. All excreta are all considered impure while cow dung is considered auspicious and science has proven that the only excreta emitting positive energy and devoid of foul smell; it's a good manure for plants and trees and the cows urine is often used as an ingredient for medicines and used for prayers as well, It is highly prescribed medicine by Ayurveda, namely Gorochana, it is something that is found in the forehead of a cow. And this is how why the cow is the most useful animal and deserves to be called Mother by the Indians.
