If you have children who begin adolescence should awasai use their phones. A new study has revealed that most adolescents, especially in the United States still like to send and receive images of a sexual nature, or more commonly called sexting memalui their phones.
Yes, in this study researchers surveyed more than 1,100 high school students in the US. Researchers asked if they ever do sexting. The survey results stated nearly 20 percent said they had sent naked photos of herself to others through cell phones, and 38 percent said that they had received a nude photo.
According to a study published in the journal Computer in Human Behavior on October 8, 2014, those who received sexting nude photos tend to resend to another person. "The result is similar to our results in 2013," said study author Don Strassberg, a professor of psychology at the University of Utah. "We believe the results of research on sexting among teens is valid and is quite large," he added.
This study also shows that sexting is still going on most of the high school students despite warnings of danger. Strassberg said nothing has changed in the behavior of adolescents. The technology is getting easier to use and more vulnerable to abuse.
"You lose control of the picture you sent when pressing the 'send'. From there it can cause very severe risk for adolescents. From shame to humiliation. And the most undesirable is cyberbullying and extortion though it rarely, happens," said Strassberg.
